NetFlix - Bull Put Credit Spread
February 27, 2008 by Daniel Beatty · Leave a Comment
NetFlix is one of my favorite stocks to watch not because it has good fundamentals but rather I liked the concept from the beginning of their internet business. Well today they made an announcement that they expect their earnings to be greater than expected, which is good news on the market front.
I guess Brent Archer agrees and has recommended a Bull Put Credit Spread in this post - Netflix (NFLX) rises on lifted guidance I will agree with him even though it is a little low with only a 4.2% gain for four months. I prefer closer to 10% with only 6 weeks or less to go.

OK back to posting - Verizon, my cell phone company, has offered up a new plan. One that is great for customers but most likely bad for business as it will most likely start a new pricing war among the cell phone companies.
According to MarketWatch - Verizon Communications (VZ) NewsBite - Verizon Unveils Unlimited Calling Plan - Verizon has shown weakness since November and it is definitely showing technical weakness that will continue. The stock has a very strong resistance point just below $40. MarketWatch is recommending a hedge play of an April bear call credit spread above this resistance point, in which I agree.
